Auberge La Chouette

Really liked this little hotel. It is a beautiful building, both inside and out. The location is excellent, and the rooms well appointed. The staff are also lovely and accommodating. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money.

Stayed here over Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, the staff are extremely courteous, helpful and kind! The location is spectacular, it is close to everything you would want as a Quebec City tourist. The room was very clean, we stayed on the top floor, however, and the water seldom got hot (unless you waited for 10 minutes +), so this was the only drawback. But considering this was the only minor fault, our stay was comfortable :)

Auberge La chouette was an amazing stay. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Perfect location, the rooms are cute and very clean. The owners are also the nicest people ever. They really go above and beyond. They had fresh warm croissants for us for breakfast each morning (which is included), and orange juice and she even remembered our coffee and tea order from the previous morning. The restaurant downstairs (Apsara) was also delicious and was a full house when we went for dinner. All in all, perfect stay, friendly and helpful owners by sharing with us where the best spots to walk around were, and perfect location of the hotel! 10/10 would recommend to everyone visiting Old Quebec! PS: there’s 54 stairs to the top floor, so you’ll get your steps in.

My wife and I are very thankful we chose to stay with Auberge de la Chouette. Beautiful little hotel within Old Quebec City. The room was small but had everything we needed. Air conditioning, full private shower. Comfy bed. Mini fridge. The attached restaurant is great and the staff could not be more helpful and polite. Complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel is within short walking distance of virtually everything in Old Quebec City. Even the VIA rail station is quite close. When we go back to Old Quebec we will 100% try to stay here again!

Great little spot in the heart of old Quebec, I stayed there one night for work. The lady was very helpful ensuring I parked the car in the right spot. Very nice service. It is an old building so be ready for stairs. The room was comfortable and very clean. The location of the hotel is great if you want to enjoy the town and walk around.

This was a lovely, quaint hotel. The owners were very nice. We came from MTL, with my daughter asleep in the back seat. We were arriving later than expected because of lack of electric charging stations available in QC. They were very sweet and waited up for us. The room was in an older style with a beautiful view. Strongly recommend.

This location is very convenient for us to explore old Quebec during a long weekend. I booked through Expedia. Contact hotel ask storage luggage’s before 3pm, they response very quick. Also help us to check in a little early since kids are tired out due flights. Really friendly staff and best customer service. Room is clean and with refrigerator, tons of towels. Only problem is no elevator. All in all we love and enjoy stay at Auberge La Chouette. Highly recommend

Room: 5/5 - room and bathroom were clean. I stayed 2 nights. Note: there are no elevators which is a challenge if you have mobility issues or your luggage is heavy Service: 3/5 - after I made my booking, I tried calling and emailing them about the possibility of leaving my luggage before checking in but no answer after several attempts. I found out later that everything is automated. I finally heard back a week prior to my arrival. Note: you get checkin details a few days prior to checkin date. Atmosphere: 5/5 - it’s an older building which noises from the street and the rooms nearby were minimal I felt safe walking in the neighborhood as a solo traveler.
